Ahimsa Vanam , a specifically curated 1 acre forest is a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of purity, Satyagraha and Ahimsa. This project is one of the Sustainability initiatives of Kumaraguru Institutions through Kumaraguru Microcosm.

This project was initiated by The Reverend Kosho Niwano , President-Designate , Rissho Kosei-kai, Japan and Dr B K Krishnaraj Vanavarayar , Chairman – Kumaraguru Institutions.

This urban forest will become an abode for urban flora and fauna in the region, will act as a Carbon Sink, will harvest and recharge water, educate and empower people on sustainability and also be a place of inspiration and introspection.

We look forward to engage , inspire and involve students in and out of our campus with this Ahimsa Vanam.
